Central Texas Clarinet Camp is a week for 6th - 8th grade graduates to come together, progress in their skills, make new clarinet friends across Central Texas, and have fun making great clarinet music together!
We have THREE clarinet choirs this year:
one for students for just finished their beginner year
one for 7th and 8th graders
one for students who made the ALL REGION BAND in the Fall of 2023
Students will spend most of the day rehearsing in their choir in preparation for our Clarinet Camp Concert on the final day, will learn how to improve on their fundamental skills and create an efficient practice routine, and will even get to try ALL of the different instruments in the clarinet family just for fun— from Eb clarinet all the way to contrabass clarinet…that day is a camp FAVORITE!
Central Texas Clarinet Camp also features a SOLO COMPETITION on Wednesday, June 5 during camp for students who wish to perform their solo from Solo & Ensemble Contest for a chance at winning a cash prize and a scholarship to next year’s Central Texas Clarinet Camp. There will be one winner per grade level.
